Our administrator, or Director Marie will call or email you back within one business day. You will be asked a few brief questions and a decision can be collaboratively made to make an appointment. It is their job to gather information to assess if we are the best fit to help. Please note this is not a consultation.
Once a date has been set you will be sent an email package confirming the date(s), times, location and fees. There will be also be questionnaire form to complete and this should be forwarded either by email or post at least 48 hours prior to the first appointment.
We also ask for any prior assessments, school reports, vision/hearing assessments or related documents, and/or for consent to speak with related providers.
We do not accept payment from insurance companies. For clinical and counselling therapy, speech language therapy and occupational therapy, we have eftpos, please note we do not accept credit cards and payment is due at the time of the therapy session. Education Psychology reports are invoiced prior to release, if you wish to pay in instalments please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
When we set aside a time for your child, we are reserving a special time for patients each week. Except for emergencies, we request 48 hours advanced notice to cancel or reschedule sessions or the patient will be responsible for the full session fee. If you or your child cannot attend due to sickness or accident then we ask for at a few hours’ notice.
If there is a need to discuss patient information with outside professionals, we will request written consent from the patient or his/her legal guardians. We will only break confidentiality in instances when the patient is a danger to themselves or others or when there is suspicion that the patient is under threat.
