Olisha is a registered psychologist with a background in mental health. Olisha has lived for most of her life in New Zealand, but has worked for an extended time in Australia, however has returned from Australia in the last year. Olisha began her career in psychology through developing and running a re-integration program at a local high school for at-risk youth. This then led to her pursuing a long term venture in Australia where she worked extensively in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, including the Early Psychosis team. She also works for the Ministry of Education here in New Zealand working with severe and challenging behaviour presentations.
Olisha comes with knowledge and expertise working with varied clients and presentations. She is trained in a wide range of evidence based assessment and intervention approaches.
She has a dynamic, collaborative and flexible approach to working with all her young people and their families. Olisha is passionate about creating a meaningful and sustainable change to achieve better health outcomes for all young people and their families.
In her spare time, Olisha also assists in supporting a not for profit organisation who work with self-esteem and self-empowerment workshops.
