Faith is a qualified teacher, psychologist and mother to three children. She has more than 20 years of experience and specialist knowledge of the theory, research & practice related to child development, academic, social & emotional skills. She has a broad and in-depth knowledge of the different barriers that can have implications for learning, social and emotional development. Faith uses a wide range of assessment and intervention frameworks drawing on diverse psychological theories and practices. She has a focus on valuing neurodiversity, utilizing children’s strengths and using evidence-based approaches that promote inclusion.
Faith has worked for the Ministry of Education in New-Zealand and overseas in the United Arab Emirates at a large British Curriculum Private School. In these settings, Faith provided high quality psychological and learning support services to children, their parents, families, caregivers and staff in learning institutions at the early childhood, primary and secondary school levels. In 2018 Faith won the prestigious Mariamma Varkey Award for inspirational and outstanding inclusive teaching across the GEMS Education Network of 44 private schools in Dubai and the Middle East. The Inclusion department that she led annually received the highest level rating of ‘Outstanding’ by the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau of UK based school inspectors. Faith was heavily involved in advancing psychological awareness and services within the UAE, she was part of a leadership team for Inclusion in the Dubai Inclusion network (which had over 400 members) as well as within the GEMS Education Network.
