Getting Started
The Process
Please telephone (09) 849 4232 or email us at info@kidztherapy.co.nz. Your call may go to answerphone as a session is likely to be running. Our administrator or Director Marie will call or email you back within one business day. You will be asked a few brief questions and a decision can be collaboratively made to make an appointment. It is their job to gather information to assess if we are the best fit to help. Please note this is not a consultation.
Once a date has been set you will be sent an email package confirming the date(s), times, location and fees. There will also be questionnaire form to complete and this should be forwarded either by email or post at least 48 hours prior to the first appointment.
We also ask for any prior assessments, school reports, vision/hearing assessments or related documents, and/or for consent to speak with related providers.
Payment
For all services, an invoice will be forwarded after the session(s). Please note at this stage we do not have EFTPOS but it is in the pipeline. If you have health insurance, you will need to check with your provider. All reports will be emailed following the full payment. If you wish to set up a payment schedule please contact accounts@kidztherapy.co.nz
Cancellation Policy
When we set aside time for your child, we are reserving a special time for patients each week. Except for emergencies, we request 48 hours advanced notice to cancel or reschedule sessions or the patient will be responsible for the full session fee. If you or your child cannot attend due to sickness or accident then we ask for at a few hours’ notices.
Confidentiality
If there is a need to discuss client information with other professionals we will request written consent from the client’s family. We will only break confidentiality in instances such as when the client is a danger to themselves or others or if there is a suspicion your family member is under threat.
When we set aside time for your child, we are reserving that special time for him/her we require one week’s notice of cancellation or postponement. If you cancel with less than one week’s notice or do not attend a booked appointment we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of 50% of the time allocated for your child’s session. Refunds will be provided where required under the New Zealand Consumer Law.
