Roxanne studied and qualified in South Africa, both as a Psychometrist and as a Counselling Psychologist. Her extensive work experience in both South Africa and New Zealand has involved providing therapeutic interventions, psychometric assessments and report writing and facilitating group workshops. She has worked with children, adolescents and adults, in various contexts, including private practice, preschools, primary schools, high schools and tertiary settings.
Roxanne uses a variety of mediums of communication in therapy, including play, art, sand and LEGO, in addition to traditional talk therapy. She also draws on a variety of therapeutic approaches to best suit the clients’ needs. Her interests include but are not limited to anxiety, trauma, loss, emotional
regulation, and behavioural challenges.
As a Psychologist, Roxanne strives to provide a safe space where clients can feel heard, where they can process and make sense of their experiences and where they can discover their true potential and strengths and feel empowered to create their own positive changes. Roxanne prefers to adopt a client-centred approach and to work collaboratively with clients in her work with clients.
Roxanne is married with two school-age children.
