Tripti is a warm, caring, flexible, understanding, and dedicated therapist who believes in working closely with all that have a role to play in the child’s learning and development. She believes that a holistic and collaborative therapeutic approach is vital in understanding the strengths and challenges of the child. Tripti uses a social interactive play-based approach called ‘Engage Me” to build a rapport in order to develop a child’s trust and attention.
Tripti has over 20 years of experience working with children and young adults with varying presentations. She has a passion for working with kids with sensory processing challenges; learning disabilities and helping kids with anxiety and self-regulation issues. Tripti has significant knowledge regarding visual perception and visual-motor integration which are crucial skills required for the development of handwriting.
Tripti has done numerous courses on sensory processing the most recent being “Sensory Diets” by Gwen Wild, and “Understanding our Sensory Systems: Touch and Proprioception” by Dr C Chapparo, The other interest Tripti has is working with kids who are “picky eaters” and she recently completed her training in the SOS approach (Sensory Oral Sequential). Lego therapy is also a skill set that Tripti can utilize in therapy. She also attended the ‘Engage me’ course a few years ago which is a social communication approach used with kids with Autism
Tripti is a skilled assessor; she has wide knowledge and use of Sensory Profile assessment; Handwriting assessments; Beery Assessment (visual-motor integration) and the DTVP-2 (visual perception) Assessment and Assistive technology, ABC movement assessment, literacy etc.
