What is Art Therapy?

Art therapy is based on the idea that creativity enhances the well-being of everyone. Its holistic – addressing emotional, cognitive, physical and spiritual well-being.

With art therapy, children use their imagination and sense of play to explore and express emotions and thoughts that are difficult for them to put into words.

The creative and hands on nature of art provides a safe space for your child to try and practise new behaviours, allowing the therapist to reach them in ways that ‘normal’ talk therapy can’t.
