Common times parents need extra support

Children don't come with a manual, and every child is different, even those raised in the same family can be opposites!  However, it's often when unexpected change occurs that parents can feel lost about how to handle their own emotions as well as those of their children.

Common times we are asked to support parents include:

  • Marriage breakdown and separation
  • Transition (changing schools, moving house etc)
  • Grief and loss
  • Following a medical diagnosis
  • Neuro divergence

Often parents want to enrol their child in therapy when difficulties occur - but this is often not the best plan. By providing you with a toolkit of strategies you can implement at home, you can have a significant impact.

Parenting Neurodivergent Children

Our qualified therapists are able to work with parents who have recently had a diagnosis for neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)*  and ADHD.  Even if you have not had a diagnosis but suspect some level of neurodicergence, our therapists can help you to better understand your child and create a plan that includes strategies to support your child.
