Essay writing skills class

Effective Essay Writing (Secondary school students)

Help your secondary school child to master the skill of essay writing.


Essays form a foundational assessment tool in many school subjects including biology, history, art history and English.


This course is packed with all the tips and tricks to produce essays that will receive high grades.

Resilience building class for neurodiverse teenagers

Social Connect Club (13 - 16 year olds)

Help your neuro-divergent* teen develop their self-confidence, social skills and strategies for coping with change


The teenage years can include a LOT of changes.  New schools, starting out with social media, new social dynamics and much more.


Many young people find change hard and feelings of anxiety can escalate. This course uses the creative arts to provide your teens with the tools and mindfulness they need to build their self-confidence, deal effectively with all the changes going on in their life and develop good friendships.

Study Skills and Strategies Class

​Study Skills and Strategies - Years 9 to 13

Practical, explicit skills and strategies to improve your teenager's academic potential.


Study Skills are learned skills that can be improved with the right guidance. ​These popular workshops are designed to assist students up to Year 13, and University students upon request. ​


Students will take home a 60+ page study guide to help them apply their new skills on a day-to-day basis. This guide was developed collaboratively by Marie Kelly, Educational Psychologist and KTL Tuition Founder. ​

Teaching kids how to be organised

Get Sorted! (9 - 17 year olds)

Self-organisational and executive functioning skills for home and school.


Is your child always losing their belongings? Does your child struggle to meet assignment deadlines? They could be struggling with their executive functioning skills.


​Executive functioning skills allow your child to plan, focus attention, remember and juggle multiple tasks. They are vital for maintaining relationships, hobbies, studying and general day to day life. 


​This fantastic course was developed by Kidz Therapy therapists after identifying that many children struggle with their self-organisational and executive functioning skills. Feedback we've received from schools and parents too. ​
