Book Keeper / Administration

Due to recent business growth, we have created this new, salaried position. We are seeking the services of a book-keeper/administrator for 18-20 hours per week to join our well-established team. You will be 2IC to our Admin/Marketing whizz. 


Responsibilities

  • We are looking for an accounts and administration superstar who can help keep the behind the scenes of the business running efficiently. Your primary responsibilities will centre around book keeping and accounts for Kidz Therapy and KTL Tuition. It is essential you:
  • Have intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Outlook, Word and the Xero Accounting Software platform
  • Are able to undertake daily/weekly book keeping tasks that include client invoicing, bank account reconciliation, processing of customer payments, weekly staff invoices for payment 
  • Are able to undertake monthly book keeping tasks that include monthly accounts, accruals, GST, PAYE, general tax, debtor’s control
  • Can reply to and resolve client enquiries relating to accounts


You will also be responsible for administration tasks which will include:

  • Data entry, scanning and filing. 
  • Replying to and resolving general client enquiries,
  • Monitoring the KTL Tuition email address
  • Administrator for KTL Tuition
  • Answering incoming calls, returning messages,
  • Any other relevant duties such as ordering stationery, printing, kitchen and cleaning products, general office house-keeping.


This role is part-time five days per week (Monday to Thursday, 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m.to 4 p.m.).


To be successful in this role you: 

  • Will have practical hands-on experience with Xero book keeping and accounts
  • Will have top-notch verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to work independently, have the ability to self-manage and work flexibly within our teams
  • Be a friendly, highly organised, self-motivated person with a great attitude and work ethic
  • Have a strong eye for detail and the ability to maintain our high company standards.
  • Be able to multi-task and show initiative
  • Have high levels of discretion and honesty
  • Support our teams with ad hoc admin duties and be prepared to cover areas outside the job specification as required. 
  • Be a strong team player and have a good sense of humour!

About the business

 We have two businesses under the Kidz Therapy family umbrella.

 

Kidz Therapy (est 2008) is a multi-disciplinary practice that provides support to families, children and teenagers. Our team of experts includes educational psychologists, therapeutic psychologists, speech therapist, art therapists, occupational therapist and specialist consultants who provide a range of support services.

 

KTL Tuition (est 2009) provides personalised, one on one tuition services for intermediate and secondary school students (and tertiary students on request). We offer both in person and online tuition and workshops to help students reach their full academic potential.

 

Both businesses operate from our Morningside centre which is close to the train station and bus stops and free onsite parking.
